The LDC3114 is a 4-channel inductance-to-digital converter for low-power proximity and touch button sensing

The LDC3114 is an inductive sensing device that measures small deflections of conductive targets using coils that can be implemented on a small printed circuit board (PCB) located on the back, enabling human-machine interface (HMI) detection on a variety of materials. Touch button design panel. By allowing access to raw data representing inductance values, the technology can be used for accurate linear position sensing of metallic targets in automotive, consumer and industrial applications. Inductive sensing solutions are not sensitive to humidity or non-conductive contaminants such as oil and dirt.

The button mode of the LDC3114 automatically corrects any deformation of the conductive target. The LDC3114 provides well-matched channels that allow differential and ratiometric measurements to compensate for environmental and aging conditions such as temperature and mechanical drift. The LDC3114 includes an ultra-low power mode suitable for a power on/off button or AD5751BCPZ position sensor in battery powered applications.

The LDC3114 can be easily configured through the I 2 C interface. The LDC3114 is available in a 16-pin TSSOP package.
